Partners & Community Network
TroCymru works in partnership with social enterprises, charities, and local organisations to maximise material reuse, create local opportunities, and deliver measurable social value across North Wales.
Why we work with partners
Construction waste does not have to be waste. But getting materials from site to someone who can use them requires a connected network of organisations — each playing a different role in the circular economy.
Materials need a destination
Every item we divert from landfill needs somewhere to go. Our partners are the organisations that receive, process, and redistribute those materials into their communities.
Local impact, local jobs
When materials flow through social enterprises and community organisations, they create employment, training, and support opportunities — keeping value in the local economy.
Evidenced social value
Every material movement is tracked and quantified. Our partners help us evidence the social value that housing associations and contractors need for tenders and board reporting.

Types of partners we are looking for
We are actively building a network of organisations across North Wales who share our ambition to reduce waste, increase reuse, and create local impact. If your organisation could benefit from or contribute to a circular construction supply chain, we would love to hear from you.
Material reuse organisations
Sorting, processing, and redistributing construction materials back into productive use. From plasterboard to hard plastics, these partners ensure nothing usable goes to landfill.
e.g. Reuse shops, material banks, salvage yards
Furniture & kitchen reuse groups
Receiving and redistributing reusable household items from WHQS retrofit programmes — kitchens, bathrooms, white goods, and furniture that still have life in them.
e.g. Furniture projects, charity shops, community stores
Timber & building material recovery
Reclaiming and repurposing structural materials — timber, doors, windows, roofing materials, and sheet goods for reuse in community projects or resale.
e.g. Timber yards, reclamation centres, woodworking co-ops
Community workshops
Repair, upcycling, and skills training spaces where recovered materials are transformed into new products and people learn practical trades.
e.g. Men's sheds, maker spaces, repair cafes
Training providers
Skills development, apprenticeships, and qualifications linked to the circular economy — from waste management NVQs to construction skills using reclaimed materials.
e.g. Colleges, training centres, apprenticeship providers
Employment & support organisations
Supported employment, social care, and community benefit organisations that create meaningful work opportunities through material reuse and recycling activities.
e.g. Social enterprises, supported employment, day services
What you get from joining the network
Being part of the TroCymru network is not just about receiving materials — it is about being part of a system that creates value for everyone involved.
Verified social value data
Every material diverted through your organisation is tracked and quantified — giving you hard evidence of your social and environmental impact for funders, boards, and stakeholders.
Network branding & visibility
Featured on the TroCymru website, included in tender submissions, and referenced in ESG reports — raising your profile with housing associations, contractors, and local authorities.
Referrals & material flow
Receive a steady, predictable flow of reusable materials from construction and retrofit projects — reducing your sourcing costs and increasing your throughput.
Part of a growing ecosystem
Join a network that is actively expanding across North Wales. As TroCymru grows, so does the opportunity for every partner in the network.
Building a network across all six counties
We are starting in Gwynedd and Anglesey, but our ambition is to build a connected circular economy network across the whole of North Wales — with partner organisations in every county.
